Dr. Kirstin Young
Doctor
I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and grew up with a menagerie of different animals. We had dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, an iguana and a pot bellied pig named Cleo. I have always had a great love of animals and people. This is what has driven me throughout my life to become a veterinarian. I wanted to foster that relationship people have with their pets. I knew by keeping their beloved pets happy and healthy that I would be helping people as well.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993. I went on to attend Veterinary School at Colorado State University and graduated in 1997.
I spent my first 6 years as a veterinarian in Kingman, AZ where I really enjoyed getting to know some amazing people and their four-legged family members. I then relocated to Washington State and spent 9 years in Olympia. Although I really loved everything the Pacific Northwest had to offer, I knew that in my heart I was ready to come back home.
From the first moment I drove into Anthem in 2009, I knew this was where I wanted to raise my family. I fell in love with the small-town atmosphere and tight community spirit that I saw every time I found an excuse to visit. I finally realized my dream early this year when my family found a house here in Anthem and opened Daisy Mountain Veterinary Hospital. We have been welcomed into this community with open arms and know we have found our “forever home”. I look forward to becoming your other family doctor!

Dr. Sarah Schroeder
Doctor
I was born and raised in Illinois and attended Western Illinois University for my undergraduate degree. I moved to Arizona in 2019 after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I have a strong passion for surgery, internal medicine and animal anxiety.
I currently live in a zoo of animals including 2 dogs, 3 cats, a bearded dragon, and a hognose snake, but have also owned rabbits and a hedgehog which I sadly had to say goodbye to over the past year. My favorite hobbies include hiking, watching wild horses at the Salt River, water sports, exploring and anything that involves my sweet baby girl and husband.
I look forward to meeting you and giving your furry family members the best love and care they deserve.
